The Blue River is what you expect to see and fish in Colorado,
with its crystal clear water. Of course the clearer the water,
the better your fly presentation needs to be. The water comes
from the bottom of Lake Dillon and is cold so this tailwater
tends to fish better as the day wears on. There are plenty
of fine areas all the way down to Green Mountain Reservoir.
It’s catch and release only through Silverthorne, so
be sure to check the regulations along the river.
